Patty is originally from New Jersey and has lived in Florida
for 16 years. She has over 20 years of management experience with 8 years in
the senior living industry, and is a Certified Director of Assisted Living. Patty has a
great love and passion for providing residents with outstanding services, which is
why she loves what she does and loves caring for those who once cared for others.
Patty takes pride in leading and coaching her team to achieve their very best every
day! She lives in Punta Gorda with her husband and two children. Patty is a history
buff and loves reading novels on her free time. She is very excited about the
opportunity to serve the Discovery Village At The Forum community!
Memory Care Director
Debbie has been with Discovery Village since March of 2020 as the Memory Care Director, and brings over thirty years’ experience in the health care field with her. Debbie has a background in Social Work and Case Management in long term care and has an AS degree in Human Services – Social Services as well as a BS degree from Gardner – Webb University. Debbie holds certification as Human Services- Board Certified Practitioner and is currently pursuing certification as a Board Certified Alzheimer’s – Dementia Care Practitioner / Trainer to continue to provide the highest quality of life for all Discovery Villages Residents.
My name is Joel Santiago and I born and raised in Puerto Rico. I began my culinary career in 1997 in my father’s restaurant located in San Juan. I attended the School for Culinary Arts in Puerto Rico and graduated in 1999. I attended my 6-month internship program in Italy and completed 6 months in Cancun, Mexico. I came to the States in 2001 and began working for Celebrity Cruise Lines for the next three years. I moved to Texas where I challenged myself as the Executive Chef for the Dallas Cowboys and went on to working for the Seminole Hard Rock Casinos. I have worked in many Senior Living Communities throughout the years here in Lee County and began working for Discovery Village in November of 2019.

Kathy Bays has over 30 years in business experience, 6 years working with Assisted Living and Memory Care, 2 ½ years with Discovery Village at The Forum. She enjoys coming up with new and exciting events and activities for the residents to participate in every day!
Director of Health & Wellness
Cynthia is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and moved to Fort Myers in 2006 after graduating nursing school in Tennessee. Her nursing specialties are Rehab, Wounds and Skilled. Cyndi has happily been with been with Discovery Village since 2015.
