Staff is amazing. My grandfather has IBS and they never complain when he has an accident. Anytime I visit they're super friendly and my grandfather says they're like his family, even better than his own! I know he's just kidding but in all honestly, I wouldn't recommend any other place!

My father lived at Discovery Village Memory Care in the loving care of all those who work there until his passing. Our family found much comfort knowing that he was surrounded by people who really care, in a place that is very clean, and with opportunities for involvement in many activities. The nurses, house keeping, directors, etc. were wonderful! We are grateful.

From the day I started, nearly a year ago, I've always looked forward to going to work!! How many of you can say that?!! Thia community is filled with love and laughter.....almost like a family gathering! The wisdom, the stories, the adventures the residents share is remarkable. Each day is delightfully different, you never know what you're gonna get! One thing for certain is....you'll leave here with a smile and perhaps a full belly!

Every now and than you find perfection.From the entire staff. The over the top amenities, my God the food. As independent facilities in Florida, they haven't a rival. I know this first hand, this is my fourth. I've been an true humanitarian all my life. Here I'm free to express all my physical and mental abilities. As a life long athlete, the beautiful pool, exercise room, the endless activities. I'm a true extrovert, and Halilious funny and witty. . All the residents have been so receptive to my personality.I never thought I'd fine the thrill of retirement. Here is more a residents, it my home. Rona is the pastry chef here and she is amazing!! Everything we have eaten that she has made has been wonderful. In the photo is an example…her homemade chocolate chip cookies. I don’t think you can find any that are better than this!

My father is in memory care at Discovery. As has been mentioned, there have been many changes in administration. Hopefully, that will change. The new executive director is doing a great job. There are many activities available to engage the residents. Caring for dementia patients, is a very difficult job. The CNA’s employed do a great job. They treat the residents as family. There is genuine concern for the residents.The food at Discovery looks very good. MyFather enjoys it.Like any other place, I wish therewere more employees to lighten the workers load. I highly recommend this facility forthose with needed care.

Discovery Villages of Deerwood has changed to the good. The staff is highly attentive and caring. The Chef continues to put out gormee meals very pleasing to all residents. The maintenance ,laundry and housekeeping staff continue to impress the residents with prompt responses and cleanliness It has become a great place to live and relax

My father has been in memory care for about a year at Discovery Village at Deerwood. They went through a lot of staff changes in the course of a year (and we've had our ups and downs), but I am happy to report the new Executive Director and Memory Care Director are excellent. The MC director has recently started implementing monthly family gatherings. They just hosted a "Santa and Hot Coco" event that was adorable. The staff and residents had a blast dancing to Christmas music and meeting Santa. There are also many excellent caregivers that never complain and have a great attitude about their work (which is a very difficult job). It was one of the hardest decisions of my life to place dad in a facility, but I can rest assured that he is safe and well cared for. Thank you Discovery!

After arriving at Discovery, my parents are thriving! Rebecca and Michelle and Lloyd were a tremendous help for me ! They have gone above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect!! I couldn't do this without them!!!! Thank you Discovery!The nurses are very attentive in AL and MC! I love that they feel at home! The cooks and dining room staff are top notch!

I had the pleasure of attending the fun “Shamrocked” event yesterday and was very impressed! It’s so important our loved ones have a joyful social life as well as top quality physical & mental care! I was invited out by Sondra, so naturally I sought her out upon arrival. She kindly provided an informative tour of your lovely clean community. I must say Sondra’s passion & enthusiasm for excellent elderly care is clear; which I’m sure comes from her first hand knowledge with her own mother. It’s so nice to talk with someone who can really relate! I will definitely consider this community when the time comes and will refer to my family & friends to Sondra as well!

We really enjoyed the tour of Discovery Village at Deerwood. Sondra Sharpe was so nice, allowed us to take our time, and answered all our questions. A couple of days later, they hosted my mother and sister for lunch and a tour for my mother. Mom said the food was good and everyone there was very friendly.
