It was a hard decision to make. I lived in Castle Hills about two miles from what I called “The Castle.” I always knew that if the day would come and I would need a senior living home that Discovery looked so charming. Well…the day came and my family and I started to check around. Discovery was soon to be found the right fit. I would still be close to my family and friends and soon meet many more people and found peace with my decision! I was amazed by all the opportunities that I would have and now do have! People who cared and understood….

I have now lived at Discovery Village at Castle Hills in Lewisville Texas for over two months. Discovery Village is a 55+ apartment complex for active seniors. I really didn’t know what to expect but after looking at multiple options I decided on Discovery Village and I am so glad that I did. My wife is in long term memory care so we sold our house and I don’t like cooking for myself. Even though I am very active, I feel safe here which is important to me at 76 years old. The apartment is spacious and has a nice kitchen as well which is kind of funny since I eat all my meals in the dining room. It is so nice to have truly remarkable meals ordered from a plentiful menu and each entre made to my order. I like that there is Happy Hour at 4:00 daily which includes adult beverages. Housekeeping is included weekly. They even change the linens for me. The maintenance crew helps hang pictures besides responding almost immediately to any request. All I do is call the concierge and I can get any information I need and all the services I want. The swimming pool is heated year-round and the hot tub is amazing. They even have a water aerobics class. Also included are two gyms with up-to-date equipment and a full-time free trainer. There is also in house physical therapy. It has been so nice to be able to get my Covid shots here (not mandatory). I haven’t used it but there is transportation available at no cost. There are more activities going on than I can count and a full time activities director. All of the employees are wonderful from the cleaning staff to the servers in the dining room to the management and executive director. There is no aloofness here at all, everyone is very approachable. In short, I love it here.

My mom has been a resident here for a year. I toured a dozen places over a six month window, and am so happy we ended up choosing Discovery Village. Bob himself (the Executive Director), the concierge staff, events staff, fitness staff, chef and his team are all super friendly, all know my mom by name, and are just good people. The residents kind of mirror the personality, and they felt more welcoming when we were doing the tour, and not pretentious. The shared areas are well maintained, the exercise classes are great, and my mom love the entertainers that come in weekly. My mom had lived in a house for the prior 45 years and I gave it 50/50 odds she would like it, but she loves it and wants to get back to her complex as soon as she can when we have her for a day or a weekend. Feel very fortunate I kept looking until I found a place that just felt right.

My mom has lived here for 5 years. The care and concern shown by every staff member is more than I could ask. The food is delicious. The activities abundant. The maintenance staff superb. Receptionists kind and caring. The Director a genuinely good man. I highly recommend this independent living for your loved one.

Bob is outside early every morning straightening the sign, arranging flowers, picking up trash, and making sure everything is perfect. He always looks professional and is a wonderful change from the past ED's. He is always making sure things are followed up on andcompleted.Margaret is a ball of fire she is always running and attending to the residents and all her activities. She is very efficient and tireless.Ericka, Jason, and Amber are always pleasant and fun in the bar. The food is always delicious.I do miss the grand entrance we had before.I've heard from Honest 1 that they sponsor other happy hours and we are much more fun and friendly. I like hearing that the place I live is thought of as fun and friendly.I've been here before the building was Discovery Village at Castle Hills and I hope I can continue to afford it and that Discovery Village at Castle Hills will always be home.

Be aware this is an INDEPENDENT living community and cannot offer assisted living help. If this place is being chosen for you by family members, they need to be aware of your mental and physical limitations and that you are made aware of what DV can offer that meets your current and future needs.

My Job in Discovery Village At Castle Hills has been a blessing in my life!I love my coworkers all them are so nice. I love Residents they are so sweet with me every day.This place is a wonderful HOME with so many activities and fun to everybody . This is a GREAT place to live, I'm Blessed working here 🙏🏼😇💗

My Mother has called Discovery Village “home” for the past 8 years and has truly loved it. Although she knew it was time to move in with family, she hated giving up her apartment. She made many friends and enjoyed visiting and baking goodies for all of them. Bob, the Executive Director, and all the staff are absolutely wonderful. They truly care for the residents and always have their best interest in mind. Our family felt very confident with the care and service that was offered and would highly recommend Discovery Village Castle Hills.

Love it here. They keep you busy when you wanna be and you can keep to yourself when you want. Many activities to my liking. Great management and staff. I just signed my 3rd lease.

From the first time I visited, I knew that I wanted to live here. The staff was friendly and helped me to find a marvelous apartment with fun neighbors. Most residents are happy and helpful because I believe the staff sets the tone. I love the elements of my floor and surroundings. D V Castle Hills is quaint and lovely

My wife Venita and I call this our home and we love our apartment and the residents and the staff is always happy to help you out if needed.Our management dose a excellent job meeting all of our needs.The food is well prepared and well worth the money and excellently served by out excellent Staff.We have lived here 6 years and looking forward to many more.Mr. Bob is the finest manger you will find any where in the Metro Plex.He goes the extra mile and will never let you down.He is truly a mans man.Our activity Director will keep you busy as you want to be.The facility meets all state safety and fire prevention meets all state Standards.The House keeping meets all of the needs you might have.All in All you will not find any other that can match what we have .

I love this place. My Uncle John (MacLean) has recently moved into Discovery Village earlier this year and has found everything we were hoping for. I have personally joined John for a number of visits, lunches, and walks about the premises. The facilities are spotlessly clean, beautiful, comprehensive, and well appointed. The staff is amazing, attentive, friendly, and professional. John is greeted by name by virtually all the staff, wherever we go. He has also made many acquaintances with the other residents.John's general disposition and health are improved, most likely due to the positive energy in Discovery Village. I have lived here for 4 years. My husband and I shopped around about 451 different places. We instantly fell in love with Stonebridge. It is just fantastic, we love it here.
