Bob has been in the hospitality industry for over 28 years serving in senior management positions for various hotel companies but most recently as a general manager in independent senior living. Bob earned his Executive MBA from IMD (International Institute for Management Development) and a BA from Glion Hospitality Management School in Switzerland. He also attended a strategic marketing management program at Harvard Business School and Leadership and a decision-making program at Yale University.

10year Erika Moore

Executive Chef

Chef Moore decided she wanted to be a Chef while working at a Bakery & Delicatessen in upstate New York. When she returned to Dallas she enrolled in The Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts where she graduated in 2011. Chef Moore is well versed in preparing upscale, gourmet dining and is committed to delivering delicious handcrafted meals and excellent service.

Lauren Johnston loves being a team member of Discovery Village At Castle Hills. Lauren has been in the industry helping seniors and their families navigate the aging process for more than a decade. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Counseling, her background allows her to meet individuals where they are in their search for senior living and assist them in finding the perfect fit for themselves and their loved ones. She enjoys the family environment that exists at Discovery Village At Castle Hills and feels it creates a space for each resident to be provided an unmatched quality of care. Outside of her work with seniors, Lauren’s two greatest loves are her husband and her fur baby, Gibson. She has a passion for cooking, the great outdoors, and music.

Juan has been in the senior living industry since 2014 and truly loves working with seniors, almost like having an extended family! Juan grew up in Las Vegas and finished college in Lancaster, TX and where he became state certified as an HVAC Technician. Juan enjoys “living the country lifestyle” and spending time outdoors with his with his wife and eight grown children. He also loves watching movies and playing basketball in his free time.

Patricia Skinner has been in the senior industry for over 20 years. She started pursuing a career in Business Management and Education, but soon learned her passion of working with seniors after taking a position as an Administrative Assistant at a senior living community, eventually being promoted to Resident Program Director. Patty loves to have fun and bring joy to others. One of her favorite activities with residents is arts and crafts, and seeing the finished product that they come up with is always exciting for her. In her spare time, Patty enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, traveling, and watching soccer.

Brooke-Gibson

10year Brooke Gibson

Business Office Manager

Brooke has worked with Discovery Senior Living for over six years, five of them at Discovery Village At Castle Hills. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Brooke moved to Texas in 2014 after earning her BA in African American Studies from The Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ohio University. In her free time, Brooke loves spending time with her family and watching her children play soccer, cooking new recipes and working out.

Culinary Supervisor

Jason has been in the bar and restaurant industry for over 20 years. Over that time, he managed and bartended at an upscale Irish pub in Frisco, then working for a food distribution service working with chefs and restaurant owners throughout the DFW area. Jason has a passion for food and hospitality, which makes him a perfect fit here at Discovery Village At Castle Hills.

After working for more than 20 years in sales and operations within the hotel industry, Stephanie transitioned into senior living just over two years ago. She enjoys working at Discovery Village At Castle Hills and it’s like a “home away from home environment”. She feels that the residents are like an extended family that she enjoys seeing every day. Making their home experience in the community warm, inviting, engaging and friendly is very gratifying and fulfilling.
