Hi I my husband and I have lived here for 6 years now we came here because of family Which was a very good move. We love it here games all different activities going out on bus to restaurants variety of different things Made many new friends. Everyone is friendly and helpful All of the staff is friendly and always ready to help if u have problem. We have security ambulances and firemen all u do is call and they are here You couldn't find a better and happy place to live

Great place and very friendly!Very safe and caringI live in a cottage for 4 years it feels like home. Very active community. Has whatever activity you like also bus to go to drs and shopping. Allen in maintenace is very prompt and helpful.liz is super nice and very friendly with everbody specially at Happy Hour

After visiting nearly a dozen senior living options in area, my mother-in-law selected Discovery Village at Twin Creeks. Paula Standridge made the transition from PA to TX seamless. Mom moved in last November and was immediately welcomed by the staff and residents. She was invited to various activities and functions before she could get settled in. She continues to enjoy all the comforts of her new home and the social interactions keep her on the go. It has been a perfect fit for mom and the proximity to family makes this the best choice.

I just came to visit a friend who lives here, fell in love with this gorgeous facility and the rest is history. Our home is now HERE! Lots of board games, luncheons, coffees and many off the premises outings.Most important, the entire staff CARES, about the residents. I mean really CARES!

This is a wonderful place to live; i enjoy living here very much! I love all the activities that Katherine plans for us! Jody is the best driver ever and so thoughtful. My favorite trips have been to the pumpkin farm, out to restaurants, out to downtown McKinney, the casino and so much more. We just went to the Myerson downtown Dallas for the Pops symphony. It was beautiful and I had the best time! I love my apartment, it is spacious and feels like home. I also enjoy visiting with Heather, the concierge. She always makes me feel comfortable and never rushed!

My husband and I moved in three months ago. He was at first hesitant to move to a senior community, but now he says what took us so long to move here. This is is a wonderful place to live. We have met the nicest people and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is very prompt in answering your needs and the place is very clean and smells fresh. They have a calendar of daily activities and a bus that will take you to appointments or for excursions to fun activities nearby. They have a Parkinson’s support group and a physical and occupational therapy on site. My husband has been doing both of these and is so pleased with the therapists.It is located in a quiet neighborhood yet close to grocery stores and shopping.

A great place to live! The staff are great and always helpful. Katherine, our social director, does a wonderful job organizing trips to local places and events. Our coffee group in the mornings is always greeted by Liz, our Senior Lifestyle Counselor and Paula the Executive Director.. I have been here for five years and can't think of a better place for retirement.

My mom recently moved from a home in East Texas to Discovery Village to be closer to family. This was a difficult transition for her as she had lived in her home for 20 years. I can't speak highly enough of the Discovery Village staff that helped her transition go so smoothly. Ken Schlupp is the best....he took all of the time needed to make sure the transition was smooth and that every detail was taken care of. Any requests have been taken care of immediately, there are so many activities available and the residents have been so welcoming and friendly. This is a great community to consider if you are looking for a friendly, warm community to live in.

What can I say about Julie Thomas, the amazing Activity Director of Discovery Village at Twin Creeks in Allen, Texas. It’s obvious this job is her true calling. She plans activities and trips that keep us active mentally and physically. She always has a smile on her face and makes time for everyone. I can not think of a better individual for this position.I’ve lived at Discovery Village for over 3 1/2 years. Julie and all of the staff make life here more enjoyable. Like many of us, I moved to Allen to be closer to my son and his family. When I found Discovery Village, I found the place where I belong.

Discovery Village is a quiet community with friendly and helpful staff. The maintenance crew take care of your needs between air filters change and light bulb outage. The residents here are very friendly and always willing to chat awhile. Even though it is quiet there are plenty of activities to break that silence which include exercise classes, BINGO games, cards games, Movie night, Happy Hour, etc. They have a salt water pool and spa. The grounds and interior of the main building are always immaculate. The cottages are well insulated and there is 3 story apartment building that the cottages surround. What sold me on my cottage was a bath tub instead of a shower which I really wanted.

Chose Discovery Village after visiting many locations in the Dallas area. Totally love all aspects of our new home. The public areas are imaculate and the staff friendly and responsive. The location for convenience and safety cannot be better. In one word...comfortable.

My in-laws have been at Discovery Village in Allen for almost a year now. I must say they were not anxious to move from Pittsburgh, PA to Texas after 70+ years in PA, but they did to be close to us. If you would ask them today if they would move back to PA the answer would be a Big NO! They now have a countless number of friends and activities that never seem to end. We almost need an appointment to go see them because they are now so active and busy. There was very little to do for retired senior citizens where they were in PA. I truly believe it is the best possible move they could have made. Recently they chose to move from their 2 bedroom unit to a 1 bedroom in the same complex and Kristee, the Executive Director of the facility made the move very easy on them. Seems whatever you need there, the answer is almost always YES, we can make that happen. If your parents or in-laws have a chance to visit Allen, Texas (voted #2 best place in the country to live) you need to have them check this place out. Five Big Stars!
