Crystal, the Memory Care Director has such love and passion for her residents. She makes certain every resident is engaged and included. There was an attitude adjustment period but now she is fairly content. We as her family have noticed a very positive change overall. The staff are wonderful at encouraging her to participate in the many activities that are available. We are very happy with everything and the only reason we are not giving a 5 star rating is that she complains about the food. She is French and is used to very well prepared foods. What can I say! We actually saw an improvement in my mom’s mood and livelihood after she moved in. My dad grew close with the staff visiting my mom daily and was always pleased with how everyone cared for her and looked out for her there. The staff keeps us updated regularly on how my mom is doing and we feel this is really the best place for her. It’s clean and welcoming and they have a lot of activities for residents to participate in should they be able to do so. After two hospitalizations in a short time I spoke to Marieewan Knaland, Director of Dining Services, about a low salt diet. They don’t offer that, but he was very supportive of my idea of not serving her high salt foods like. soups, ham, bacon, and sausage. Together we have kept mom out of the hospital and I’m very pleased with his follow through in looking out for my mom’s health.
