I’m lived here for over a year and love everything about the Discovery Living Community at Sarasota Bay!! The residents are fun-loving and care about each other— always welcoming new residents. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. And the daily activities are numerous within the building offering a variety of choices. Also, many outside trips are scheduled to restaurants, stores, and local events. Three meals daily provide nutritious and delicious meals offered in our beautiful dining areas where residents socialize while dining. It’s a happy place to live🤗Now I’m starting my second year at DVIL. Our caring and capable staff just brought us through Hurricane Helene with a special legal privilege not to evacuate although we were in Zone A. We never lost power and felt safe and secure with generators available in crucial areas of the building.I continue to feel at home and never regretted moving here. The staff all remain caring and the residents are happy as we all enjoy everyday life full of varied activities to keep us busy. 🤗

Friendly and competent staff and services, coupled with outstanding ambience and a multitude of activities. As impressively, apart from the daily quality of life the residents have been accustomed to at Discovery, the extraordinary level of performance and selfless lengths management and staff exhibited almost flawlessly through the recent hurricane was nothing short of remarkable.

My sister, Sharon, has called Discovery Village IL her home for 17 months. She recently moved across the hall to a smaller apartment. Nicole and her team paved the way for a seamless move responding timely to all requests. Special thanks to HENRY for his kindness and assistance in getting everything done in her new apartment! DV is a beautiful place to live! The entire staff is very kind, caring and patient!

My family and friends and I LOVE Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay! I wasn’t sure I would ever see my family member smile again after the death of her spouse and she is beaming at DVSB! I’ve never seen her have more friends or more support. From the director to every staff member who goes the extra mile, this place hums like a well-oiled machine and the residents are happy and vibrant. I’m impressed (and I’m a perfectionist)! I had an opportunity to stay here during storm issues and see the community run from a residents perspective. Management has done an amazing job putting together a great staff who are attentive to the residents, and they are not afraid to tell you. All of this in an almost new beautifully laid out property.

Cruise ship without water, resort with the highest rating or an independent living facility. DISCOVERY VILLAGE is all 3 of these. Come before you actually need to, please.You will not be disappointed with the food, hospitality, amenities, apartments or common areas for fun and games. Delivery of your medications, M.D calling on you. Beauty salon, gym and so many more needs being met by staff. Transportation, gourmet dining with new friends and staff. It's all positive at DISCOVERY VILLAGE.

I have had the pleasure of working for Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay for just over a year now and am so thrilled to be part of such a wonderful community. I am fortunate to work closely with both Discovery communities. The leadership goes above and beyond to ensure a cohesive work environment and a joyful home for residents. They are incredible! The whole team ensures the beautiful residents are cared for, fed, comforted, and entertained daily. Both communities are beautiful and so well maintained. The smiling faces you pass by each day prove it’s a great place to work and live! 🤗

Always a vibrant and fun atmosphere to be in! Every time I’ve visited I’ve experienced a warm welcome and been greeted with smiling faces. I’ve gotten to know many of the residents through my interactions as a local real estate broker and team trivia host at the community, and would not only be thrilled to have my family members there, but would not hesitate to become a resident myself if I were looking at Independent Living communities with leasing options. Definitely one to check out if you’re considering the move to an exciting senior living community along the Gulf Coast! I’m only 59yo when I moved here in February. The tour that was given to me was so impressive that it only took one visit, and I was signing the lease. I never thought I’d find friends here, but boy was I wrong. Within about 2 months everyone knows your name; everyone is exceptionally friendly. The staff is like the kind you’d find at a model viewing. Our staff is the BEST you’ll find anywhere.Thanks DV…I look forward to many, many years to come.

My mother in law, Carolyn LaSpina, has been a resident at Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay since they opened in 2022. She has made some wonderful friends with the residents and staff alike and has enjoyed participating in all the events they host. We are comforted knowing she is being taken care of and is in such loving hands!

What an amazing place for my Dad to call home. Discovery Village at Sarasota is absolutely lovely, and my Dad is so happy... which, of course, makes us so happy. This week I had the opportunity to visit and tour the facilities and I must say I am very impressed. The staff is amazing, the amenities are like a Country Club and I couldn't be happier seeing my Dad enjoy life with his new friends. I highly recommend The Discovery for anyone looking for independent living for a loved one with an active senior lifestyle. Thank you for taking such great care of my Father.

Discovery was highly recommended by several friends - one who works in the elder care industry locally and a family who moved their loved one from another facility. Michael Parker picked the perfect room for dad. Nicole Bosco is the director there who brought a new level of excellence. Her staff, including Bethany Sanders is outstanding. After about 18 months I had to move dad from the independent living section to the assisted living section where dad continues under their care. Overseeing the ALF, Donna Satterlund has also been super kind, informative and very helpful. I cannot recommend Discovery at Sarasota Bay highly enough. As a local pastor, I have visited several different facilities, and none have come close to the cleanliness, quality of care, and great staff morale as Discovery offers.

A beautiful, new building that’s been home to us for 9 months. The staff is caring, the food is excellent, the activities plentiful and residents are happy to be here and friendly and welcoming to all. I have worked for Discovery villages of Sarasota Bay for 7 years now. I started as a Sous chef in AL and am now a Resident Services Director in IL. I have truly enjoyed every moment of working for this company. The residents and staff are a dream to work for and with! Under the amazing leadership of our ED Nicole Bosco we flourish! The food is remarkable thanks to Chef Jon and the Maintenance/Housekeeping team make this building stand out proudly thanks to Joe Casino. GREAT COMMUNITY!!!

Staff at Independent Living epitomize second mile service! Resident Services Director Bethany is phenomenal - a true problem solver and results oriented professional. She really cares about residents, and it shows in all she does. Special shout out to the maintenance staff as well - they not only keep the facility in top shape, they are always available to lend a hand. Highly recommend!

Discovery Village of Sarasota Bay is a premier independent living community convenient to both Manatee and Sarasota counties. The location offers a water view, movie theater and pool area which are highlights that will get you in the door. The great cuisine served in their dining room and in the Pub are why their residents stay visible in the foyer. Please plan to attend an educational event and tour the property. The atmosphere here is great and everyone communicates well and gets along and works as a team. My supervisor, Joe Casino will go down as one of the best supervisors I've ever had.
