My father moved in here a few months back and we've been so pleased by the friendliness and exceptional team members and the personal interest they take in their residents. Rene is simply one of the best representatives of the facility and a truly special person. These are never easy decisions, but we are very glad my Dad made this choice.

Be warned! Communication is NON-existant. We moved our loved one there a while ago and we have yet to connect with anyone in nursing regarding her care - our voicemails and emails go completely unanswered. We had a minor emergency this past weekend and could get a hold of NO ONE - went straight to an answering machine (not even an answering service). Craziness! It seems they are horribly understaffed. Not good.Our experience started out horribly but ended perfectly. After management changed, everything improved ten-fold. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating nor treated my aunt with more respect in her final days.UPDATE: If you "truly are the Owner" who responded below...perhaps you could provide us with your email so that we can forward you the conversation we had with your ED this morning. Thanks for her phone number. She didn't provide that. But then again, she hasn't replied to our email either....Second Update: Since this all began, it seems staff changes have been made and things are slowly improving. They still don't have some aspects of the facility "up and running" so to speak, but I do have to give them credit for responding and working to make it better. Good to see.

Excellent place with caring, professional staff and well managed. We feel fortunate that my uncle is being well cared for here! Communication between the staff and my mother (who is POA for my uncle) has been frequent and complete. They have been very responsive to any issues or requests.

My parents have been there for 8 months- excellent place. They both are very happy and well taken care of.

My parents moved in over two months ago and they love it. I can already see their sense of well-being has improved greatly. The staff, residents and property are great.

My Mom, Gladys Speth (room 110) was one of the 1st to move into her new facility about 3 months ago. As our family are very close, and watch over our Mom continually, we wanted the best for her. We at first was not sure this was the right move for her or us. I can say that after 4 weeks at Discovery Village our minds were at ease. Mom has made friends, and could not be any happier with all that Discovery Village has to offer. From the time Mom wakes up in the morning for breakfast, she is on the go doing something. The staff is always on point in taking care of our Mom, which makes my sisters and brother feel comfortable in the atmosphere we have put her in. The staff administers her medicine promptly 3 times a day, which was a big concern for us. I guess I could ramble on and on about Discovery Village and all the amenities it has to offer our Mom. The most important thing I will say before ending, is Mom is happy, and with that said, We all "win". Thanks Discovery Village for making our Mom special. Please continue to strive for excellence.
