DVSB - Meet the Team - SHINE Director, Susan Coblentz

Susan Coblentz

SHINE® Memory Care Director

Growing up volunteering since the age of eleven Susan created and developed “The Gifts of Service Ministry”, several different Community Outreach Projects, & assisting with Kents Veterans project. She also spent ten years volunteering at Haven of Rest for men and Harvest home for woman and children. Her favorite times were serving and loving residents at local charities and nursing homes. Susan felt a calling at a young age that working with residents with Alzheimer’s was not only a selfless career but very fulfilling. Now also a SHINE® Trainer, she enjoys teaching and training others strategies to work in this very special field. The most important accomplishment would be her two children Josh and Madison and her second favorite accomplishment would be training and representing her city and coach of Kent State University in a triathlon and raising $ 4000 dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Susan is grateful for my parents who taught her giving of oneself to others, compassion, and most important Love.
